What better for a first post than GLUTEN FREE CUPCAKES?
Sprinkles Cupcakes in Nashville’s trendy 12-South neighborhood has just that. The small bakery features a rotating collection of cupcakes, ice cream, and cookies with GF options in each category.
These include: gluten free chocolate chip cookies, many GF ice cream flavors, and their very own gluten free Red Velvet Cupcake!
At this point I have only tired the Red Velvet Cupcake, but I would definitely recommend it to anyone. I even had a couple of my friends try a bite and say they thought it tasted better than the non-gluten free cupcakes! Unlike a lot of GF baked goods, Sprinkles’ cupcakes are moist and not super crumbly, making them pretty easy to eat while perusing the shops of 12-south.
Probably the best part of Sprinkles Bakery is their unique Cupcake ATM. The ATM works just like one at a bank–you type in your cupcake order, and out comes a perfectly decorated cupcake! Not to mention the ATM is great for some cute pictures.
In addition to Nashville, Sprinkles has multiple locations around the country (but not all of them have Cupcake ATMs!). For a complete list of locations and a full menu, check out their website: http://sprinkles.com/
And if you really want some fun, check out Sprinkles Bakery’s baking book!
So come treat yourself with a gluten free Sprinkles cupcake, based on their most popular flavor. And, if you’re able to eat gluten, I’m sure their other flavors are fantastic too 🙂
